Delhi University (DU) has asked the students to provide correct bank details so the university can refund the admission fee from last year. The university is returning the fees to the students who have canceled their admissions before August 31, 2019. "Students who have canceled the admission after 31 August 2019 are not eligible for any refund," the university said.
The university had started the refunds on November 21 but 972 transactions were declined by the bank due to incorrect bank details.
"Refund was failed due to wrong account details, you are requested to kindly update/correct your bank account details on your admission portal within next five days i.e. February 24, 2020," the university has said in the notification released on its website
950 students are supposed to provide their correct bank details to the university. All these students were enrolled in undergraduate programs and the total transaction amount is INR 83,95,284.
22 students from postgraduate programs are required to provide correct bank details and their total amount is INR 2,25,831.
The DU University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs.
