Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has come out with the examination timetable for classes XII (ISC) and class X (ICSE) for the year 2017. With the new time table announced, the students will start planning the final countdown to face the exam.
Unlike last year, the ISC examination of 2017 will start with Physics paper 2 practical on February 6th, 2017. The examination will continue till April 5th, 2017, while the ICSE exam will begin with English paper on February 27th, 2017 and it will end on March 31st, 2017.The time for the ISC examination will be mostly from 9 am to 2 pm and the ICSE examination will start from 9 am to 11 am.
Students will get additional time of 15 minutes apart from the scheduled time of the paper and they can utilize it to read the question paper during the examination. The time table of both the examinations has been made available on the council’s website www.cisce.org for the students, teachers and the parents to review and plan.
Most of the students are happy about the time table and find it convenient because the duration of the exam is longer which allows them to have holidays in between major papers. Principals of schools have reported that the timetable, which has been declared much before the examination, will help students plan their preparation better and utilize the time in hand effectively. It will also help in conducting the exams smoothly and declaring the results on time. Some of the teachers also expressed satisfaction regarding the time table and said that publishing the time table on time will benefit the students in getting admissions for higher courses next year.
