According to a statement released by the Delhi government, Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Rouse Avenue has become the first Delhi government school to be equipped with projectors in classrooms, audio-visual teaching aids and new buildings with all types of facilities included in them.
This school is the national capital’s first “model” school with all kinds of “state of art” facilities. It was inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Manish Sisodia.
According to the Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, great leadership comes with great responsibilities. He is keen on setting up examples by building more schools like this. He added that building infrastructures are not the ultimate goal; rather enhancing the quality of education is also important.
The Delhi government has planned to make 54 such “model” schools endowed with basic facilities like good quality of classroom furniture, clean drinking water and clean toilets. This initiative is a part of “Chunauti 2018”, where the government will make efforts to improve the infrastructures and the quality of education in government schools in India.
