Now Super 30 will select students from classes 10 and 12 of
government schools, who cannot afford expensive coaching classes to crack the
IITs as the government has decided to ask for the same.
The government thought so after some underprivileged yet meritorious UP boys who have secured a place at the IITs.
UP CM Akilesh Yadav has directed senior officials to look into this task. The nodal officer who has been named for this job is Muthukumar Swami, the special secretary to CM.
What is Super 30? It's a coaching institute based in Patna and have been providing free classes for IIT aspirants from Bihar for the past 11 years. Now they will be helping out students from Uttar Pradesh.
For this purpose, they will conduct tests for bright students hailing from Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi and ensuring cent per cent IIT selection for the students.
Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30, said that selected students would be staying at his house and would get free food.
The schedule for students is as follows- students would wake up at 6.30 am for classes starting at 7.30 and will continue till 12 pm at lunch. After that there is a break and students will start studying till 6pm. After an hour's tea break, students can continue their self-study till 1 am. They will be served dinner at 9 pm.
According to Kumar, most of the students come from a similar background, which help in studies. Even after selection, many students come back for motivating others and stay for doing so.
