K A Sengottaiyan, Tamil Nadu Education Minister said that the government is working hard and making all the efforts it can to get the exemption from the NEET exam.
"The state government's policy is to get exemption from NEET. Continuous efforts are being made in this regard," he told reporters.
"We have already made an appeal to the Union government to exempt students of Tamil Nadu from NEET examinations," the Minister said.
He further said that till the exemption is made the government will provide the free training to the students so that they can face the exam which is compulsory in order to get admission in the MBBS/ BDS courses.
412 training centers in state will provide necessary training to about 72,000 students to enable them to face the NEET exam.
K A Sengottaiyan further said "these 78,000 the best two thousand students will be selected and provided 'special' coaching for NEET."
