SSC MTS 2017 paper leak

On April 30 the SSC MTS question paper and the answer keys were readily available on social media.

The SSC MTS exam 2016 paper-I (afternoon shift) has been cancelled by the SSC commission as the exam was found to be compromised.

"The re-examination for only those candidates who appeared in this shift will be held in due course and they would be informed accordingly," it said.


The exam was scheduled to be held at various test centers on April 30, May 14, May 28, June 4 and June 11.

On April 30 the question paper along with the answer key was available on the social media.

While reporting the event, the director of KD campus, uploaded the images of the question paper and in the same matter sought the assistance from PMO and SSC. When asked the students about the question paper they confirmed that both are the same.


This was written exam and consisted of Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1 (Objective) - Paper 1 was objective and based on general intelligence and reasoning, English aptitude and general awareness. The exam was held for total 150 marks for duration of two hours.

Paper 2 (Descriptive) - In descriptive paper candidates had to write a short essay/letter in any of the language provided in the 8th schedule of the constitution. Only the candidates who clear the cut-off prescribed for paper 1 are allowed to sit in paper 2.

The exam was conducted to fill 8300 posts.

Selection process:

Candidates who will clear the written exam will be called for interview for the final selection.

Pay scale:

The selected candidates will be appointed on the grade pay of Rs 1800.
