On Friday, the Staff Selection Commission issued a notification regarding the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam on its official website.

In the released notification the commission said that it is closely monitoring the conduct of ongoing SSC CGL online exams of all batches and is aware of the fact that in the exam held on August 10 (Batch 2) (13.15 Hrs to 14.15 Hrs), candidates faced the problem in viewing the questions of quantitative analysis section where a part of question was not visible on the screen.


The commission further assured the candidates that the commission will take appropriate action to rectify the issue and no candidate will be left disadvantageous because of the error.

The exam for SSC CGL Tier 1 began on August 5, 2017.

About Tier 1 exam

The tier 1 exam is a computer based exam in which candidates have to attempt 100 questions in one hour time span. The total weightage of the tier 1 exam is 200 and the exam is divided into four sections namely, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, English and General Awareness. Each section contains 25 questions and there is a negative marking of 1/2 marks for the wrong answer.
