SSC CGL is one of the most sought after exams in India by the graduates. The successful candidates are offered lucrative government jobs with a number of facilities, making it an ideal proposition for many. Close to 10 lakh aspirants appear for this exam each year and this year was no different. If you wrote the exam this time around, this news concerns you.

The result of the Phase 1 of the Staff Selection Commission, SSC CGL 2016 tier 1 exam might get pushed back by few days now since in its latest notice (on ssc.nic.in), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) extended the deadline to make representations till September 30 (6 pm) which clearly indicates that. Before this, the commission had released the answer keys and candidates̢ response sheet online to the students and provided the facility to make representations from Sept 21 to 26.

Since this entire process of asking for representations and making the required changes is time consuming, it might very well affect the time of declaration of the Phase 1 results. As per the reports that came out earlier, result for tier 1 exam that were held during August 27 to September 11 will was due to be announced in the first week of October, but that seems highly unlikely now with the extension of this deadline.

But the wait won̢t be very long since the result would eventually come out in and around mid-October, or a bit earlier or later. Also, since the tier 2 has been tentatively scheduled for the month of November, the commission would want to release the results of tier 1 exam as soon as possible.
