The much awaited results of SSC Tier-1 2016 have been declared on 8th November. More than 14.99 lakh candidates can check their results for SSC CGL Tier I 2016 at the official website ssc.nic.in

In order to check the results you can visit the official website- ssc.nic.in and click on the link 'SSC CGLE Tier 1 Results.' Enter your details such as roll number and date of birth and click on submit. Your result will be displayed on the screen thereafter. It is advisable for the candidates to take out a printout for their future reference.

The SSC Tier 1 exam was conducted from 27th August to 11th September at 415 centres in 96 cities across India. Over 14.99 lakh candidates appeared in the examination which had four sections based on English Comprehension, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.

Candidates, who qualify the Tier 1 exam, will have to appear in Tier 2 examination, the tentative dates for which are between November 30 and December 2. This year, the scheme of the examination has been revised by the Commission. A Descriptive paper of English/Hindi has been introduced as Tier III.

The Tier-3 exam will be a 100 marks paper and will follow the pen and paper mode. Candidates will get 60 minutes to attempt the descriptive Paper in English/Hindi which would involve writing of essay/precis/letter/application writing etc.

The final selection of candidates will be made based on their overall performance in Tier - I, Tier- II and Tier- III. All the tiers need to be qualified separately by the candidates and there will be no sectional cut-off.
