The Staff Selection Commission successfully conducted the first session of the Combined Graduate Level exam (CGL).

As per reports, this year many candidates from across the nation appeared for the examinations.

This year the exam paper was easy, but a lot of time was wasted as the server was slow, said students.

For the first time, the exam was conducted online and this year the question paper had four parts-- Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, General Awareness and English Language.

Section wise review

English

This section will play the crucial role. Important topics are paragraph comprehension, synonym, antonym, cloze test etc. Passive voice, direct indirect will not ask.  These will take in tier 2 examination.

Reasoning 

It has 25 questions with 50 marks. Each question of reasoning has 2 marks weighting. Important topics of reasoning are syllogism, number series, statement questions, Blood relation, Data sufficiency etc.

Quantitative Aptitude 

It is also the important part of SSC CGL. The Mathematics has 250 marks weight age in this recruitment. Tier 1 examination will have basic question & level. Important topics are DI, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Compound Interest, Average etc. Time and Work 2-3

It is scoring topic. If you are good in this section then you can create the difference. General Knowledge section has various topics i.e. History, GS, Political Science, Geography, Indian Administrative system etc. The General Science also classified into physics, chemistry and biology.
