The second merit list for the inter-college admissions has been released by the Bihar School Examination Board.
Anand Kishor, recently took the charge as a chairman of the board and had announced that second merit list will be released by the board on September 5 for the admissions in streams like PCM, PCB, commerce and arts.
The first list was released on August 19 and out of 11.46 lakh students who had applied for the admissions , the names of 9.81 lakh candidates made to the list.
Kishore also said “ the BSEB would conduct the admissions in Class XI in inter-colleges from this year onwards through OFSS (Online Felicitation System for Students). Last year, we changed the exam pattern by introducing 50% objective questions and giving more options in questions to make it easy for the students. The board, however, partially succeeded in its initiative. The pass percentage of Class X had increased from 50.12% in 2017 to 68.89% in 2018, while the pass percentage of Class XII was also increased from 35.24% in 2017 to 52.95% in 2018.”
About the board
The board is established for holding and conducting exams at the end of the Secondary School stage, for prescribing course of studies for such examination and for carrying out such other objects and duties as may be considered necessary for the purpose as stated in the Act, Rules and Regulations of the board.
