Scientists to teach in DU colleges

Students in 10 selected DU colleges would soon be taught by the scientists and faculty of National Institute of Immunology (NII), taking forward their new outreach program.

As a part of the Science Setu, the permanent faculty will spend 12 hours per year in a college. The program is a result of PM Modi teachers' day speech where he urged the senior professionals to take up the roles of a teacher to the kids.

Earlier, the institution has been associated with a number of UG colleges and schools. The recent initiative ties up the institute with the following colleges of DU "“

Miranda House

Hindu

SGTB Khalsa

Ramjas

Sri Venkateswara, and others

With more colleges and NII sister institutes in talks, the number of associated colleges are likely to be increased. The current format of Science Setu only focuses on biological courses.
