While addressing the 83rd Convocation of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Agra, Presidene Kovind urged the students to help those which are less fortunate and said that it was their duty to repay the society. Addressing the students, President said ' University had an illustrious history going back nearly nine decades and had produced Presidents, Prime Ministers and stalwarts in many walks of life.'
The President, who himself is the graduate of the Agra University, urged the students to see that the convocation is not the end but rather a beginning of new phase of responsibility and learning.
He also said that may people-- parents, teachers, family members, and others in government and society-- have contribute to their education.
"These people had contributed to giving the graduating students an opportunity that millions in our country are unable to get. Therefore, it was the duty of the graduating students to pay back society in some way, and work for the cause of humanity," he added.
The President also applauded the fact that the university has adopted a primary school and will take responsibility of the education of the under privileged children.
"Such efforts made students sensitive and responsible towards society," he said.
Applauding the University for its contribution to the education he further expressed his confidence saying that the university will even play more important roles in lives of the students in coming years and help them face the challenges of the life.
