The recent college rankings released by the HRD ministry gave rise to a sharp debate in the country with many people asking the reasoning used behind ranking the institutes. With that controversy being far from over, the government is now moving on to its second ranking!

Taking signal from the HRD service's late move of issuing rankings of Universities and colleges of different disciplines, the Central Ministry of Agriculture has chosen to only rank 73 rural colleges.

The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) has been given the obligation to create assessment strategy and has arranged a positioning system and the service will soon request that the colleges take an interest all the while.

Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, the minister of state for Agriculture had, as of late held a meeting of the council that came out with the specific markers for measuring the quality and execution of the rural colleges and finished the points of interest for welcoming application from members. The whole positioning venture is being taken care of by Balyan.
