MP government announced that the life saga of Rajput Queen would be made a part of the state curriculum from next year so that students can learn about the correct history.
Amid the controversy and criticism surrounding the film Padmavati, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh (MP) Chief Minister, said 'that the life saga of the Rajput queen would be included in the school curriculum from next year'. This announcement was made by Shivraj Singh
Chouhan in recently held program organized by the Samagra Rajput Samaj in Ujjain.
"Life saga of Rajmata Padmavati would be included in the school curriculum from the next (academic) session so that the coming generations could know her sacrifice and bravery. (This way) the coming generation could know the correct history," Chouhan said in a recent PTI report.
The program was organized to honor the Chauhan for his announcement to ban the screening of the Padmavati in MP.
Chohan said 'the film which has "distorted facts" about Rajput queen Padmavati and shows or says anything to disrespect her, will not be released in Madhya Pradesh'.
According to the sources, the romantic affair between the Rajput queen and Alauddin Khilji's character in the movie is the point of controversy.
Historians are also divided over the fact whether Padmavati existed or not.
