QS India University Rankings for the year 2020 have been released and the list is dominated by the IITs. The top three positions were held by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and IIT Delhi respectively and fourth and fifth positions were held by IIT Madras and IIT Kharagpur.
The second edition of the QS India University Rankings features 107 universities and the ranks assigned to the universities are based on the eight indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, staff with a PhD, papers per faculty, citations per paper, international faculty and international students.

Congratulating the two institutes, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said “it was a proud moment for the state”.
