The prestigious Nalanda University is all set to launch School of Public Health next year. “The aim of the school would be to elevate the health indicators of the population of a district”, said it’s Vice Chancellor.
Vice Chancellor Gopa Sabharwal told the reporters that “Next year we would be launching School of Public Health, this is going to be a one of its kind of schools, and this kind of school doesn’t exist in Asia. If you have a school of public health than you can than you can impact the health indicator of a district”.
The Vice Chancellor was speaking during the “Xuan Zang and China-India friendly Exchanges” organized by the consulate of China in Kolkata. “The entire Nalanda district would become the field of the school”, she added.
The
school will help in raising the medical health of the district, since the
entire district would be the field of the school. The academic session for the
said school is likely to commence in 2018.
