HRD minister Prakash Javadekar was on a visit to Raipur where he attended the inauguration ceremony of the IIT Bhilai. During this visit he also met the students of the Prayas residential schools.
These schools run under Mukhyamantri Bal Bhavishya Suraksha Yojana and they provide free coaching to the meritorious students of Naxal-affected districts of Chhattisgarh for exams like PMT, PET and JEE.
As Mr. Javadekar visited Gudhiyari- based Prayas Residential School he said "these schools help to make a bright future for backward class students of Naxal- affected districts."
Javadekar said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasises on quality education for all and Prayas Schools being run under Mukhyamantri Bal Bhavishya Suraksha Yojana, are the striking example of facilitating quality education to all as per the vision of Sabko Shiksha-Achhi Shiksha."
Tribal caste and scheduled caste development department commissioner, Rajesh Sukumar Toppo proudly said "Since 2012, 27 students made it to IIT, 8 cleared the MBBS, 74 in NIT, and 450 in engineering."
