Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the children to make their mind strong. “Bravery is the state of mind, a healthy body helps, but the prime moving force is the mind, therefore we need to make our mind strong”, said the Prime Minister.

He also encouraged children by telling them to read biographies of leaders, sportspersons and others who have been a motivational force for everyone.

The Prime Minister made these comments while presenting the National Bravery Awards to 25 children chosen from across the country for their outstanding acts of bravery and valour.

Modi also tweeted “Presented National Bravery Awards to 25 brave Children from across the country; I congratulate all the award winners for their outstanding courage”.

Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi also interacted with all the award winners and asked them to make their mind strong. He also told them that the fame and the adulation that they are getting by their acts of bravery should not hinder their future progress.

He also told them that these awards shouldn’t become the end of their life’s purpose but should mark the beginning for them.

The Prime Minister also reminded the children about the significance of the day, which is the birth anniversary of Neetaji Subhas Chandra Bose, he urged children to read biographies of leaders, sportspersons and others who have been a motivational force for everyone.

Maneka Ghandhi, Minister for Women and Child Development was also present on the occasion.
