On Tuesday, Minister of state for higher and technical
education Vinay Waikar instructed officials of the Yashwantrao Chavan
Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) to announce the pending results of the
students who appeared for the Bachelor of Artchitecture (B Arch) examination
through its Mumbai centre.
Vinay was on a visit to the campus. He was there to review the online examination system introduced by the varsity this year.
He conducted a meeting with officials like vice-chancellor Manikrao Salunkhe and other senior officials.
According to Santosh Sable, spokesperson of the university, minister's main purpose was to review the online examination and valuation system, however he also directed the officials to announce the results within the prescribed time frame.
Bachelor of Artchitecture (B Arch) (interior design) is a five year course offered by five colleges in Mumbai which are its official centres. This was introduced in 2009-10. The minister directed the university authorities to announce the results at the earliest as the results were pending of several students of the final year mostly from the Mumbai center.
