Panjab university hiked its fee by 5% from new semester

Two months after senate’s approval to the fee hike, Panjab University decided to revise the examination fee and fee structure by 5% for various PG and UG courses.

Professor Parvinder Singh, Controller ofExaminations, PU, informed that rates have been revised for exam fees and other examination-related application forms and fee structure for undergraduate courses (semester and annual systems), for postgraduate (semester/annual system) examinations, for professional courses (semester system examinations) for miscellaneous, fee (all applicable w.e.f. November/December 2018 examinations onwards) and for other exam-related application forms and fee (applicable from the date of issue of circular).

He further informed that all the rates related exam application have been increased by the 5 percent of the old fees.

In May, the senate had approved 10 percent fee hike for the new admissions and 5 percent for the ongoing students. In addition to this, a 5% fee hike was also approved in all the constituent colleges of PU to help them enhance their resources.

In this process, the exam fees was however reduced to INR 75 from INR 200.Also, the tuition fee of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences will be enhanced by Rs 6,000 per annum instead of the recommended Rs 7,500 per annum.
