The second edition of the education reality show named 'Harithavidyalayam Educational Reality Show' will be held in the November. The main aim of the show is to showcase the achievements of the government and aided schools in the Kerala.

The guidelines for the show have been published by the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE). The reality show will provide an unique opportunity for the schools to highlight their innovativeness.

A press release said "Made by KITE for the Educational Department, Harithavidyalam (green school) would be aired in IT@School VICTERS channel and Doordarshan".

“The sharing of best practices among schools would further strengthen the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission of the state government, aimed at upscaling the educational scenario in the state to newer heights”, said Prof C Raveendranath, Minister for Education.

The show was first successfully conducted in 2010 and was appreciated globally.

After the screening in the prelim round, 150 schools will participate in the show. The application procedure in online in which schools have to either submit a 5 min video or presentation of maximum 20 slides presenting their unique activity.

The application will be accepted from October 2-16, both dates inclusive.

Prize Money

  • Winner: 15 lakh
  • Runner up: 10 lakh
  • Third price: 5 lakh
