Prakash Javadekar, the union HRD minister on Tuesday said for the formulation of NEP (New Education Policy) views of all ideological sections is welcoming as he emphasized on encouraging research and innovation for sustainable development.

At an event organized by BJP think tank Bharat Niti spoke on various issues related to NEP moreover emphasizing on encouraging Sanskrit. The event organized by RSS, the minister linked body Bhartiya shikshan Mandal and Bharat Niti.

'Education needs to be accessible, affordable, high quality'

He shared his vision of education needs to be accessible, affordable, high quality and encouraging research and innovation. After all, what we need is good education which can provide a strong foundation for life, he added

"We need views from all ideologies. We need each and every suggestion because I believe education is a national mission to take the country ahead," Javadekar said.

The minister said there was even a speculation over his attending the event and different news covers this on priority. But he took it in a light manner and said in a democracy different views can exist."I was invited here so I came, if others invite me I will also go there"

The new HRD minister remarks come to defend the allegations made by the rival parties as to promote saffronisation.

Time to arise as a 'Vishwa Guru'

BJP General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, Mukul Kanitkar of BSM and former NCERT Director J S Rajput spoke about reviving Sanskrit and spoke on issues like encouraging regional languages, getting out of "colonial hangover" and ensuring that India becomes a 'Vishwa Guru' (World leader).

While speaking on the importance of Sanskrit,Rajput who was a member of the HRD appointed committee on an evolution of NEP said former PM Jawaharlal Nehru also has stressed about the same in his book Discovery of India.
