In the states of the Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, the counseling process for the NEET UG 2018 has started. Students who are seeking to pursue higher studies in medicines are required to apply for the online counseling process via official websites of the states.

Students of the Madhya Pradesh can apply online by visiting -- mponline.gov.in -- and counseling will be held from June 15 to 25. The Merit list will be published on June 26 and the online registration process at colleges will begin from July 5. For document verification, candidates will have to visit the center opted by them at the time of counseling.

Students from Maharashtra can visit the website -- dmer.org -- to check the details and apply for the counseling. The counseling process will begin on June 15. Candidates from the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nagpur are required to visit the following colleges for the document verification:

Mumbai: Grant Government Medical College, Sir J.J. Hospital Campus, Byculla, Mumbai

Pune: B.J. Government Medical College, Pune

Aurangabad: Government Medical College, Aurangabad

Nagpur: Government Medical College, Nagpur

Only candidates who have scored minimum 50 percent (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentage for general-physically handicapped) are eligible to apply for the counseling.
