A new M.Tech program with the specialization in Artificial intelligence is to be launched by the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Delhi from the new academic session starting in July 2018. Through the program, the graduates will be able to undertake AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies as career paths which are used for innovative problem-solving. The institute will intake 20 students and the course will be widespread over four semesters.
“The program will be research-oriented and focus on foundations and advances in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,” Mayank Vatsa, head of Infosys Centre for Artificial Intelligence at IIIT-Delhi, told PTI.
“After the course, the students will be able to recognize and analyze problems related to AI applications, apply pattern recognition, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to solve real-world problems,” Vatsa said.
Last year, IIIT Hyderabad also launched a similar course in AI named ‘Foundations for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning' in October.
