Midday meal has been in various controversies since time immemorial and this time it attracted attention on Feb 16, 2017 as another lethal incident of finding dead rat in meal led to the admittance of 9 students in the hospital.
What went wrong?The healthy and nutritious food for the children got the additional flavor of dead rat this time. As soon as teacher discovered this they made the announcement for not consuming the food. By the time announcement was made, few students already had the meal and those then were rushed to the hospital on immediate basis. Denouncing the incident of utter carelessness a teacher told that the condition of the food in the government school is very bad no matter how big the claims of the government are. An FIR against the food supplier has been affirmed by the Manish Sisodia who is Deputy Chief Minister.
On the incident Sisodia tweeted that such incidents in the case of children will not be overlooked and an appropriate action against the midday meal supplier will be taken. All kids are fine.Food preparation under government watch describing the incident Sisodia said that a dead rat was found in the utensil full of curry and an immediate announcement was made to not ingest the food but by then few students have already eaten a bit and they were rushed to the hospital on immediate basis.
He also said that "Our officers will remain in the hospital."Dr. R chug of Madan Mohan Malviya hospital said that nine students were rushed to the hospital with the complaint of pain in the abdomen. All of them are now stable and are under observation.
