This coming weekend, MICA is the place to be, with two of the biggest committees putting up their annual fests. SAMAR 2013, the biggest sports fest across B-schools in the country & Reverie 2013, MICA's annual literary fest are scheduled to happen from the 2nd February-4th February.
SAMAR is organized by the Sports Committee at MICA (SCAM) and sees participation from top schools like IIM-A, NITIE, NIRMA, SIBM, IMI etc. The fest provides ample opportunities for serious athletes to showcase their sporting prowess while concurrently having events for participants who want to just enjoy playing in a competitive environment. Events will include informal competitions like Ultimate Frisbee, Slow Cycling, etc. apart from sports like football, basketball, badminton, lawn tennis, chess, cricket, volleyball, throw ball and table tennis. The fest is being sponsored by Decathlon and Wildcraft.

Reverie 2013 is the Annual Literary Festival conducted by the literary committee, MICA. Happily Unmarried, uRead.com, Leadstart Publishers Ltd, Crossword and Star Sitara are among the sponsors of this year's festival. The flagship event of Reverie - "Authorspeak" will see Parul Sharma, MICA alumnus and author of the book By the Water Cooler talk about her journey from MICA to writing books. The event will also feature Anand Neelakantan, author of the famed book Asura: Tale of the Vanquished. In keeping with this year's theme of Fantasy, the fest will have both formal and informal events such as Book Marketing, Twist in the Tale, Taboo, What's the Good Word etc. A workshop on Lucid Dreaming will also be conducted by Subhash Tendle - Head of the CCC course at MICA and former Creative Director at Draft-FCB.
