Mangalore University is going to organize an open-house on the university campus at Mangalagangotri.
The two day open house activities starting from July 15 demonstrate its post graduation courses and facilities for students who are interested in taking part in the admission process (2016-2017).
K. Byrappa, Vice-Chancellor, of university while addressing to the press conference said that students could visit the 24 departments offering various courses and get details of the offering which are available as well as the facilities in the laboratories.
The concerned departments will provide all the details pertaining to brochures, applications, displays and presentations on academic programs, research facility, adjunct faculty, international collaborations,
projects, alumni, and recruitment opportunities. They could also interact with the faculty and research scholars.
The Vice-Chancellor in the meeting with pressperson said that the university has appointed 36 adjunct professors till date. And they are scholars in different sector.
The students who are visiting the open house camp can explore hostels, the university library, research laboratories, Yakshagana Kala Mandira etc.
Vice chancellor stated there are two help desks "” one at the entrance arch and the other near the bus stop (opposite the Mangala auditorium) "” would be set up to guide students and parents visiting the campus during the open house.
The post-graduate centre of the university at Chikka Valuvara near Kushalnagar in Kodagu district would conduct an Open House on July 19. The centre offers six courses.
