About 10,000 teachers had refused to assess the SSC Examination Papers due to the failure of the government to fulfil their impending demands. Almost 200 schools are the members of the Maharashtra Unaided Schools Action Group. They had demanded the 14 year state disburse aid.
However the state has confirmed on the third party audit to be conducted for funding the schools.
Following which the Maharashtra Unaided Schools Action Group has withdrawn the strike .They will resume to the assessments of the ongoing SSC Examination Papers in which more than 17 lakh students are appearing.
The school education Minister Vinod Tawde declared that third party audit was being stayed with immediate effect a as in a circular by the school education department, deputy secretary.
According to Prashant Redij of the Maharashtra Unaided Schools Action Group, the teachers will begin the assessment work from tomorrow itself and hence the students are assured of a timely declaration of the results.
