Madhya Pradesh board resumes class 12th exams

Students are only allowed in the exam center after sanitizing their hands

Class 12th exams of Madhya Pradesh board resumed on Tuesday. Earlier, the exams were deferred due to breakout of coronavirus pandemic. The exam will continue until June 16.

Students are only allowed in the exam center after sanitizing their hands. The authorities have also made the provision of checking students’ body temperature before they enter the exam hall.

Speaking to ANI, Ishita, a student said, "The exam is scheduled to commence at 9:00 am. Our confidence has fallen to low levels due to a long gap. We did get time to prepare though. We are maintaining social distancing, we are not meeting any person. The result and admission process will also be delayed".

"We are taking all precautions. We have made alternate seating arrangements for the students here. We have been directed to maintain distance while signing the sheets. Maximum 16 students are allowed to sit in one classroom," said a teacher.

More than 8 lakh students are appearing for the exams in more than 3,682 centers across the state.

Seema Nigam, Examination Centre Superintendent said, "All arrangements and guidelines issued by the authorities are being followed at the examination center here. All teachers are wearing masks and gloves and they are carrying sanitizers with them. An isolation ward has also been arranged here".
