All the schools affiliated with the CBSE are required to complete the process within the given schedule. The last date for the same without late fee is October 30, 2018.

In case of deadline violation, schools can still complete the registration process till November 12 but with the late fee of INR 1000.

Those who miss the deadline of November 12 can still complete the process until November 20 but with a late fee of INR 2000. The last and final deadline to complete the process is November 28, 2018 with late fee of INR 5000. No further extension beyond November 28, 2018 will be offered by the CBSE.

The dates have been extended by the CBSE on accounts of Dussehra and 'Titli' cyclone.

Recently, MHRD has also revised the affiliation norms for CBSE schools and introduced new affiliation bye laws under which the entire affiliation process is shifted to the online process for more transparency. The inspection for the infrastructure will be done by the corresponding state authority while CBSE will be in charge of inspecting the school quality for learning outcomes.
