KVPY 2018 | Online registration process is now open

The online application process for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2018 is now open and students studying in class 11 to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology can apply for the scholarship. The fellowship is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The candidates for the fellowship are selected on the basis of their scores in aptitude test and an interview. On the basis of the aptitude test, a merit list is prepared and candidates are then called for the interview. The candidates are screened by the committee set up at IISc.

Candidates who are selected for the fellowship are provided scholarship until their PhD.

The last date to apply for the fellowship is August 31, 2018 and the admit cards for the aptitude test will be released in the second week of the October. The test will be held on November 4, 2018.

Documents required to register for the fellowship

Following documents are required by the candidates who wish to register for the upcoming aptitude test the link for which is available on the official website of the KVPY.

  • Soft copy / scanned (recent digital) image (in JPG/JPEG format; less than 150 KB)
  • Signature (less than 80 KB)
  • SC/ST and PWD candidates will be required to upload the scanned copy of their caste certificate and medical certificate (PWD only) along with the other documents mentioned above points.
