'Kul Geet' is the new national anthem of the Kurukshetra University which it got after 60 years of its establishment.

The new national anthem of the university was released by the Haryana governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on the occasion of the inaugural function of the university's national-level youth festival 'Ratnawali' on Tuesday.

'Vedbhoomi ye karmbhoomi hai, gyan bhakti ka amit roop hai, kurukshetra vishwavidyalya', the anthem has been collectively written by Sanskrit department teacher Vibha Aggrawal, former English teacher Dinesh Dadhichi, and Director of Youth and Cultural Affairs, CDS Kaushal.

Kaushal told HT, it was very elevating that the university now has its own anthem. "The idea to have one was conceived by vice-chancellor KC Sharma who formed a committee for the same," he added.
