Condemning the manner in which the Delhi Police Officers had detained the missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmed’s mother and sister, the students of JNU staged yet another protest outside the Delhi Police Headquarters.

More than 15 students from JNU gathered and shouted slogans against Delhi Police and the JNU authorities for their callous behavior in tracing the missing JNU student.

Najeeb’s mother Fatima Nafees and his sister Sadaf Musharraf also took part in the protest. Najeeb’s sister had a bandage on her hand, and she attributed the same to the roughness of police.

Mushraaf told the reporters that “My hand is paining a lot, I can’t even move it. I don’t want to say anything. I say something and something else is shown on T.V.”.

A complaint letter was also handed over to the Joint Commissioner of Police, New Delhi regarding the mistreatment of Najeeb’s mother and sister on Sunday.

President Pranab Mukherjee, promised action after the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged him to direct the central government to take up the matter seriously and set up the efforts to trace the missing student.
