According to the official schedule, JEE mains 2019 exam is scheduled from January 6 to 20, 2019 and the admit cards for the same will be available from December 17 this year. The year, the exam will be a whole new ball game for everyone as it will be conducted by the new formed National Testing Agency.

This year, NTA will conduct the JEE mains 2019 exam in an online mode. This is groundbreaking as until last year only 15-20 percent of the total students were taking the mains exam in online mode while the rest preferred the conventional pen and paper mode.

Below are some ongoing preparation hacks which will help you ace your exam this year:

  • Remember that a computer-based exam is no different. Syllabus is still the same only the mode has been changed. Students only need to make sure that are familiar with the exam interface before they appear for the actual exam on the D-day.
  • Some students are good at some topics and relatively weak at the other It is advisable to the students that they must prepare relevant topics from the strong areas first so that they can devote the rest of the time to other topics and areas.
  • Take the question paper from the last few years and solve them to cover the base and this will also give you the feel of kind of questions you will be facing in the actual exam. Instead of completing the expensive refresher books students must thoroughly cover the NCERT books as JEE mains and Advanced are based on the syllabus mentioned in those books.
  • The only single enemy of you in the exam is the penalty for giving the wrong answers. Remember that the goal in the exam is not to attempt all the questions but to get all the questions correct that you attempt.
  • Poor eating habits and lack of sleep may sound a norm to you but their ill effects add up in due time. So, make sure to follow a healthy and clean diet along with the plenty of sleep so that you are in your best health on the day of the exam.

In the end, don’t be bothered about the technicalities of the number of attempts instead focus on concepts and most important of all is to expose yourself to a variety of questions so that you understand a given concept from different viewpoints.
