CBSE has asked all of its affiliated schools to create awareness among the students about the International Yoga Day (IYD). The IYD will be celebrated on June 21 and it was declared as IYD by the United Nations in 2015.

Of all the activities performed on this day, group yoga demonstration based on Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) is the central activity on this day. To further promote and create awareness about the CYP, the Ministry of Ayush is sharing Yoga prayer and Common Yoga Protocol videos on its social media channel. The Asanas and practices under the CYP are such that they promote maximum well-being and health of the individuals of different age and health profiles.

All the schools have been asked to share the links of the above-said videos with all the stakeholders as a step to reach out to people in large number and convey the information of their well being.

For any further queries, schools can contact Dr. Manjit Singh, Sports Cell, CBSE at manjit.cbse@gmail.com or cbsegames@gmail.com.
