Indian ‘Super 30’ Students won an aeroplane model-making competition in Japan.

Students from across the globe had participated in the competition. “There were more than 30 groups from across the globe, each group comprised of 5 students” said one of the students from the Indian “Super 30” group. The Indian 5 Super 30 students were selected through ‘solve and win contest’.

The “Super 30” became the talking point in Japan. They were given the certificates after the results were announced.

Details of the Competition:

  1. It was an aeroplane model-making competition.
  2. Each group was asked to prepare a design with paper and make it fly.
  3. The winner was adjudged on the basis of a) The Fastest & The Longest to Fly
  4. The Indian ‘Super 30’ was able to make everyone note the trajectory of their flying aeroplane.

The winning students personally met the Noble Laureate Hideki Shirakawa, who won the Noble Prize in Chemistry in 2000. He took them to his lab and showed various experiments. The Noble Laureate was impressed by the knowledge of the students.

The founder and the Director of ‘Super 30’, Anand Kumar said that “The students were overwhelmed by their win”. He also said “There are no short cuts to success, the passion counts and so does the dreaming”.
