In an official notification, NTA has said that the registrations for the JEE Main January 2020 exams will commence from September 3 instead of September 2. Once the application link is activated, candidates will be able to apply for the exam which is conducted as a screening test for the JEE Advanced exam. For the exam due in January 2020, candidates will be able to apply from September 3 to September 30, 2019. The registration details, notification and registration link will be available at jeemain.nic.in, which is the official website of the exam.

Before students proceed to register for the JEE Mains 2020, below are some important points which they must remember:

  • Last date to register for the exam is September 30, 2019
  • All other information regarding the exam will be released only on the official website as mentioned above
  • The admit cards for the January exam are expected to be released on December 6, 2019
  • The syllabus for the exam is available online -- https://jeemain.nic.in/WebInfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=76&iii=Y
  • The exam in January will be conducted in the first and second week of the January
  • For the January exam, the expected date of the result is January 31, 2019
  • For the JEE Advanced exam, more than 2 lakh candidates will be shortlisted
  • For the JEE Main exam due in April, the application process will commence from February 7 and conclude on March 7, 2019.
