IIT-K and US University join hands for the exchange of technological knowledge

IIT-KGP has entered into collaboration with the Pepperdine University of USA for exchanging the technological knowledge.

In a statement issued by the IIT-KGP, it said "Pepperdine, which is globally known for its venture capital-backed entrepreneurial ventures, would collaborate for technological knowledge exchange with IIT Kharagpur."

Workshop faculty and coordinator, Dr P K Dan, while referring to the Pitchbook report said 'Pepperdine MBA ranks as 25th where universities like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, INSEAD or Carnegie Mellon are also listed and naturally such collaborative initiatives will benefit our students'.


Prof. Larry Cox also conducted a workshop on Entrepreneurship Promotion and in the workshop he was accompanied by associated from the Entrepreneur Institute Inc.

Prof. Larry Cox is a faculty at Pepperdine University and also the Chief Education Officer at the Entrepreneur Institute Inc.

In the workshop, students were imparted with the skills and training on how to increase creative capacity and evolve creative problem-solving skills.

The US based team is also thinking about entering into association with the Research Park of IIT Kharagpur in Kolkata as this will help both the institutes to take the research, innovation and entrepreneurship endeavour forward.


According to Prof. Partha Pratim Das, who also leads the Research Park project, said, "These workshops are the precursor to the future activities of the research park".

Prof. Larry Cox said, "Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management is very pleased to be collaborating with RMSoEE, IIT Kharagpur to strengthen both of our educational offerings with regard to technology entrepreneurship. We believe that the Graziadio School's unique approach to 'entrepreneurship as creative problem solving' in combination with the RMSoEE's world class technical expertise will produce powerful student-based businesses at both institutions."
