According to a statement, IIT Hyderabad has been ranked as number 10 among all the engineering institutes across the nation. The rank of the institute is according to the Indian ranking 2017.
This domestic ranking was released by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Union Human Resource Development Ministry.
According to the statement from an IIT official, this year the institute has improved its ranking and scores on the key parameters like Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR), Graduation Outcome (GO) and Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) in contrast to last year's ranking and scores on these parameters.
"We are pleased be among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country. We are happy to see that our effort over the past one year has helped us improve our performance on certain critical parameters quite significantly. We hope to continue our efforts in the right direction and improve our rankings in the coming years," said Director U.B. Desai.
In TLR section, the institute scored the best by scoring 82.60 which helped it in improving its ranking from 9th (last year) to 6th (this year). OI is another parameter in which the institute has improved remarkably and has come down to 22nd rank (this year) from the 84 (last year), which is a very significant improvement.
