IIT Guwahati's Technothlon winners to be taken on a guided tour to NASA

The student fraternity of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will be organising 'Technothlon' prelims, an international school championship on July 16

An international school championship, Technothlon, is being organized by the IIT Guwahati's student fraternity on July 16 at more than 400 centers across the country. The winner of the prelims will then be invited for final round which will be held at the IIT Guwahati campus on August 31.

About Technothlon
Technothlon is an international school championship which is conducted by the students of IIT Guwahati which is conducted in two phases- prelims and mains. The prelims test the students' logical and analytical ability and practical observation.

A trip to NASA for the winners
The winners of the Technothlon competition will be provided with a free guided tour to NASA's campus in California.

"The winners will be awarded a guided tour to NASA's AMES research center in California, USA," a release issued by Technothlon said.

Other awards
The top 100 participates from each squad will be given gold certificates and the next 400 participants in both squads will be given silver certificates from Techniche, IIT Guwahati.

Students who wish to participate can participate in the teams of two and there will be two squads.
Junior squad: Students of classes 9 and 10
Hauts Squad: Students of classes 11 and 12

The members in the same team can belong to same class or different class but they can only be from the same squad. For example a team consisting of two members, one from class 9 and other from class 10 is perfectly fine and are acceptable under the junior squad.
