IIM-Kozhikode PG Students get Summer Placements

Kozhikode: The summer placement program for the PG Students of IIM-Kozhikode was completed in record 6 days. Almost 364 students were recruited and about 50% of them got placed in sales and marketing.

There were large number of new recruiters this year said an official statement. The percentage of new recruiters was quite high this year and almost accounted for 45% of the total employers.A total of 119 companies participated in the recruitment process and included esteemed companies such as Airtel, BCG, EY, ITC, KPMG, Godrej, Mahindra, Nestle, Hul and many more.

A few of the names of the new recruiting companies are: AMUL,Credit Suisse, Colgate Palmolive, DE Shaw, Directi, IndiaMART, Kohler, Mytrah, Novartis, Piramal Group, Saint Gobain, Sun Pharma, TAFE etc.

Apart from Indian locations the students were also offered international locations and the highest monthly stipend offered was 2.5 lakhs.

This year also saw students opting for some niche roles in the field of Digital Marketing, Social Media Analytics, Research and Development.

Director (In-Charge)IIM Kozhikode, Prof Kulbhushan Balooni, said, that the institute continued to provide the industry with students 'who are thought leaders and business front-runners in the making'.

This was the 20th batch of the students which went for the summer placement drive and closed the same in the record 6 days. This shows the faith of the recruiters on the quality of our students, added the Prof.
