IIM-A ranked number 1 for its program

According to reports, the ranking has been given by a Paris-based ranking agency that specialises in higher education.

The Indian Institute of Management- Ahemdabad's food and agri-business management (PGP-FABM) program has been ranked number 1 for the year 2017, on global scale. This ranking has been given by the Paris based ranking agency which specializes in higher education.

"The two-year PGP-FABM offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has been ranked as number one in the world by Eduniversal, France for the year 2017," the IIM-A said.


The institution attributed to the success of the program and said that this course provides cross-functional management exposure to the students who came into management field from the fields like agriculture, food sciences, engineering, biotechnology and life sciences.

"This prepares the participants to take up challenges in this sector- focused problem-solving. The alumni from this program are playing a key role in shaping up policies and addressing the needs of this sector," the institute added.

The same course is offered by France's ESSEC Business School, USA' Corness University, Australia's University of Melbourne and Argentina's University of Buenos Aires has been given the rank second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.
