New Delhi: Kendriya Vidhyalaya students shall be able to procure the opportunity of learning German language from the next academic year. The campaign was flagged off by the Union Cabinet this Wednesday owing to the combined announcement of intent between HRD ministry and Federal Foreign office located in Germany.

In the light of the fact provided by an official statement, an 'expost approval' is assumed to be provided to 'Joint Declaration of Intent' in encouraging German as auxiliary foreign language to be taught in Kendriya Vidhyalayas in orthodoxy with National Education Policy of India and reinforcement of teaching contemporary Indian languages in Germany.

"The Joint Declaration of Intent will serve the purpose of escalating the consensual collaboration that exist between India and Germany and shall summit new heights in fastening relations between both countries in the education sector, obeying the prevailing policies, bylaws and regulations currently in force from both sides". It added. German was regularly being taught in the Kendriya Vidhyalayas until the meeting of Board of Governess of the Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) on October 27th which was led by Smriti Irani that announced the discontinuation of teaching German in option to Sanskrit.
