HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said "The government was not playing with the provisions for reservation or minority education institutions. We are not tinkering with any provision of the constitution, either in regard to reservation or minority education institution."

Chances are that discussion can continue in next session in Rajya Sabha

As HRD minister could not reply properly on a debate on National Education Policy, Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien said "the discussion could continue in the next session."

Due to heavy demand for the minister's response, Javadekar said "the government will extend the time for submitting suggestions for the education policy."

Javadekar also said, "We want suggestions from everybody. I will extend the date for submitting suggestions till September 15. We believe in democracy, we believe that education must give whatever is required to live life successfully."
