This year around 1500 students were caught using the unfair means during the Uttar Pradesh Board examination. This time apart from taking action against the students the board is also taking strict action against invigilators. This time FIR against 111 center superintendents and invigilators (178) had been lodged. In order to control the mass cheating in the UP board examination Secretary, Sahil Yadav said that 327 exam centers and 600 invigilators have been replaced. Also, 54 centers have been cancelled and 57 other centers have been blacklisted.
A FIR against the management of four exam centers has also been lodged. Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that government is resolved to stop the copying in the exams. Dinesh Sharma holds the higher and secondary education ministry.
Dinesh Sharma also said that government is working whole-heartedly for the eradication of the 'nakal mafia' in order to prevent the cases of mass cheating during the exams. The deputy CM has asked District Magistrates to make sure that there be no more cheating in the exams which are still in progress. In order to make sure that exams are going cheating free Sharma also paid personal visit to the exam centers in Lucknow and neighboring Barabanki.
In this year's examination students from Mathura and Bali were caught cheating on the camera. These incidents of cheating have been flying off the roof along with many other instances of cheating during the Uttar Pradesh board exams.
In an attempt to prevent the cheating, the board has also came up with the helpline number on WhatsApp (9454457241) and landline (0522-2236760).
