Goa's state government has instructed the education department of the state to make sure that the pictures of President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are present on the premises of educational institutes of the state.
The decision to display the pictures of President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taken in a meeting of Head of Departments which was chaired by Manohar Parrikar.
“We have 1,700 educational institutions, including primary and secondary schools. The photographs will be displayed at a suitable space in all the institutions,” said a senior official from the department.
When asked if this is a norm, he said, “Children should know who their Prime Minister and President is”.
The last president whose picture was displayed on the educational institutes of Goa was Pratibha Patil. The HODs are expected to make the arrangement for the same by the end of the month.
