Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar in the Legislative Assembly said "Yoga will be introduced in primary schools in Goa."
Government decided to introduce yoga at primary level
"¢ On demands for grants for the education department, Parsekar said, "We have decided to introduce yoga at primary level. For this, we have decided to appoint 60 master resource persons."
"¢ Parsekar also said "His government tool comprehensive view of the education and accordingly infrastructure facilities in the pimary schools will be upgraded."
"¢ He also said "In the last two years, 204 government primary schools were repaired and refurbished, spending Rs 41 crore."
Chief Minister further said that number of children born in state against those enrolled in school is 103 which show that even the migrants who arrive here enroll their children in the schools.
Chief Minister also said "The government is concerned about the falling number of students in government run primary schools, but hopes that more students would enroll with upgraded infrastructure."
