This year’s GATE exam was organized by IIT Delhi and today marks the successful wrap up of the exercise. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 commenced on February 1 in a computer-based mode and was held in two sessions. Now that the exam is over, IIT-D will release the tentative answer key for the exams soon.

All the answer keys will be tentative as they will be in the public domain for the students to raise the objections. Along with the tentative answer keys, IIT-D will also release the candidates’ response sheets on the GOAPS website. Candidates who will raise the objections against the answer key will be charged a small fee, which will be returned in case the objections are found to be true.

After the tentative answer key and taking the objections raised into the account, IIT-D will release the final answer key and GATE 2020 scores will be calculated on the basis of the final answer key.

Candidates’ raw (actual) marks will be considered for computing the GATE scores. In case the exam was held in multi-session, the raw marks will be normalized to account for the difficulty level.

According to the schedule, the results of the GATE 2020 will be released on March 16, 2020 and the scores of the exam will remain valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.
