Exam schedule for the UPSC main civil services examination has been released by the UPS on its official website which is upsc.gov.in.
According to the notice, there will be no exam conducted by the UPSC on October 28 and November 3 on various test centers across the nation.
Important notes
- UPSC will not conduct any paper on October 29
- No paper is scheduled for 2 November
Details of the exam
- The four general studies paper will be conducted on October 30 and 31 in four different shifts
- On November 1 language papers will be conducted by the UPSC and Indian language papers are scheduled for the morning shift and English paper will be conducted in the afternoon session.
- UPSC aspirants can opt for any languages which are mentioned in the 8th schedule of the constitution.
- The optional papers will be held on November 3
DAF
Those candidates who were able to clear the prelim exam must fill the DAF for the main exam which is likely to be available from August 17.
The civil service examination is conducted into two stages
- Prelim stage is used to select the candidates for the main exam
- Main exam in which candidates are selected for the posts announced
This year the exam is being held to fill some 980 odd vacancies is different department.
